Wenshu Temple is one of the attractions that should not be missed in Chengdu, resting towards the northwest of the city. It is the largest Buddhist temple in Chengdu which was built during Tang Dynasty (618 – 907 A.D.), dedicated to Manjusri Bodhisatva (Wenshu Pusa), who was an enlightened being venerated by the locals for his unparalleled wisdom.

Traditional Sichuan Opera

I have already post in this blog a video from the Sichuan opera, but I thought will be good to see a couple more.
This type of opera is quite expensive, but if you have the time and money of course deserves at least once a visit to enjoy this type of culture.
Before every act a narrator on the stage was telling the story both in chinese and english.
Also they serve you tea while watching the show, included in the price.

Xindu County

Xindu city is north of Chengdu and at least once deserves a visit.
There you can visit the Monastery of Divine Light and also the city has two beautiful gardens both voted as cultural heritage by the tourism organisation.
From Chengdu take a bus to the north bus station and from there take another bus to Xindu city, the ride is about 1 hour.

Me in front of the monastery, I am a big guy, I know. haha

Guess who is this guy again inside the garden!
