Nanjing Fuzi Miao part 1

Some photos from last year trip to Nanjing at the Fuzi Miao area, Confucius temple and palace.
I didn't have the time to see the city of Nanjing, just passing by and stay there for 2 days only at the Fuzi Miao area. For my fellow greeks Fuzi Miao is like Monastiraki, means traditional area full of souvenir shops and chinese articrafts.
Hope some next time to visit again Nanjing and stay there more days.

Give some money and will bring you good luck!

Nanjing is the capital of China's Jiangsu Province, and a city with a prominent place in Chinese history and culture.

Trip to China - start!

Trip to China.Yes once more!!! More trips there will follow.
After all, Asia is a beautiful exotic place.
Lots of people want to travel there for bussiness or tourism.

I will write some things about some cities I have been visited.
Is not an ordinary travel tips and stuff guide, but maybe you will find it funny.
Not only write but show some photos too.

Let's start from Shanghai to Changzhou, Jiangsu province.
Some photos from Changzhou will be from August-September 2008 and some from July 2009.

A way without spending so much money on taxi normal ones or pirate is to take the Bus Line 5
from the Shanghai Pudong Airport directly to the Shanghai Railway station.
If I remember well the bus fare cost me about 20RMB.

Be prepared to travel almost an hour standing on your feet if the seats are all taken. Also be aware of the waiting line, you follow the rules but all the others do not, you don't want to wait for the next bus don't you? Especially if you have a time plan.

At the Railway Station.
There are electronic ticket vendors easy to use if you know Chinese
but there is an English option on the screen on the left corner down, press it.
There so many people there and maybe all the seats are fully booked.
I was hoping to get the fast lane but due to no available seats, I booked the normal one.
Normal one doesn't mean that is a bad one, just takes more time to get to your destination.
Prices are different if you want to take the fast lane or the normal. Fast lane takes about 1 hour to get you to Changzhou station. Normal about 1 hour and 45 minutes approximately.

Please always check the currency rates when you go abroad. We are very lucky that Euro is higher than Rmb. I find this site useful.
